IKKON 2 Case how we developed a configurable modular ADU concept for an interactive experience website

Ikkon 2 is a modular ADU project created by our team for BECC in California, USA as part of an online interactive configurator tool. The goal was to develop a flexible visual system which helps users to customize the house combining different exterior and interior materials directly on the website.

Our mission was in creating high-quality architectural visualization and material variations that work consistently across the configurator experience. The project included multiple cladding options, different wall finishes, combinations of interior material designed to help customers explore more different versions of the modular home in real time.

The final visuals we made became part of an interactive marketing and sales tool and as a result user could better understand the product and personalize the house according to their preferences.

Challenge

1. Creating more than just a building presentation

The client did not want a standard architect visualization. The project had to be like a complete lifestyle concept, reflecting the atmosphere of living in California and making the modular ADU appealing to future buyers and investors.

2. Building the design direction from moodboards

The visual identity of the architectural visualization project had to be developed around the client’s references and moodboard. Importance to find the right balance between architecture, furniture, materials and environment was the must, so the whole presentation felt cohesive.

3. Making the project convincing for investment

The images had to work not only as renders but as a presentation tool that could clearly show the versatility and value of the modular unit to potential investors.

Solution

1.Translating the client’s vision into a clear concept

Our team used the client’s moodboard as a starting point. We developed a responsive visual direction that naturally fits into the landscape of California. Every major element was selected to support one cohesive story.

2. Shaping the atmosphere through materials and furniture

From modern furniture to earthy finishes: to create a believable and visually strong concept we carefully chose all the interior and exterior elements. This helped the project feel more like a desirable living product, not just a technical modular structure.

3. Producing presentation-ready renderings

We created a set of images that highlight the beauty, flexibility, and architectural character of the ADU from different angles. These visuals were designed to work effectively across both presentations and digital platforms.

result

1. A strong visual presentation for the client

To showcase the project and communicate its full potential renderings were used in the client’s presentations and on their website.

2.Positive client response and continued collaboration

Published case, that we made, includes positive feedback from the client’s founding director. He described the images as beautiful and noted only minor corrections before moving on to the next project.

3. Support in attracting investors

According to the project text on Behance, renderings that our company made helped attract investor attention and as a result it supported the funding needed for the company’s growth.

“This project was never only about creating beautiful images for us. It was about helping turn an idea into something real and valuable.

We understood that Alfred needed more than just renders – he needed trust, vision and a product people could believe in. That’s why we wanted every image to be a part of a bigger business strategy.

One of the most rewarding parts of this collaboration was seeing the project grow, attract investment and enter the American market.

Great visuals can do more than impress. They can not just open doors, they can create momentum and change the future of a business.”
