IKKON 2

A configurable modular ADU concept developed for an interactive website experience

Ikkon 2 is a modular ADU project created for BECC in California as part of an interactive online configurator. The goal was to develop a flexible visual system where users could customize the house through different exterior and interior material combinations directly on the website.

Our role was to create high-quality visualizations and material variations that work consistently across the configurator experience. The project included multiple cladding options, wall finishes, and interior material combinations designed to help customers explore different versions of the modular home in real time.

The final visuals became part of an interactive marketing and sales tool, helping users better understand the product and personalize the house according to their preferences.

Challenge

1. Creating more than just a building presentation

The client did not want a standard architectural visualization. The project had to feel like a complete lifestyle concept that reflects the atmosphere of California living and makes the modular ADU appealing to future buyers and investors.

2. Building the design direction from moodboards

The visual identity of the project had to be developed around the client’s references and moodboard. It was important to find the right balance between architecture, furniture, materials, and environment so the whole presentation felt cohesive.

3. Making the project convincing for investment

The images had to work not only as renders, but as a presentation tool that could clearly show the versatility and value of the modular unit to potential investors.

Solution

1.Translating the client’s vision into a clear concept

We used the client’s moodboard as a starting point and developed a responsive visual direction that fits naturally into the California landscape. Every major element was selected to support one cohesive story.

2. Shaping the atmosphere through materials and furniture

From modern furniture to earthy finishes, we carefully chose the interior and exterior elements to create a believable and visually strong concept. This helped the project feel more like a desirable living product than just a technical modular structure.

3. Producing presentation-ready renderings

We created a set of images that highlight the beauty, flexibility, and architectural character of the ADU from different angles. These visuals were designed to work effectively across both presentations and digital platforms.

result

1. A strong visual presentation for the client

The renderings were used in the client’s presentations and on their website to showcase the project and communicate its full potential.

2.Positive client response and continued collaboration

he published case includes positive feedback from the client’s founding director, who described the images as beautiful and noted only minor corrections before moving on to the next project.

3. Support in attracting investors

According to the project text on Behance, the renderings helped attract investor attention and supported the funding needed for the company’s growth.

“For us, this project was never only about creating beautiful images. It was about helping turn an idea into something real and valuable.

From the beginning, we understood that Alfred needed more than renders – he needed trust, vision and a product people could believe in. That’s why we approached every image as part of a bigger business strategy.

Seeing the project grow, attract investment and enter the American market was one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.

Great visuals can do more than impress – they can open doors, create momentum and change the future of a business.”
